Start with the date you actually have access
A possession date and a move-in date may leave a short window, but that window needs to be confirmed. Tell the estimator when keys are available and whether other trades will be present. For a sale, share the intended listing date. A useful scope is one that can be assessed against access and preparation instead of promising completion from a deadline alone.
Prioritise surfaces instead of choosing everything automatically
Identify rooms with tired colours, visible repairs or inconsistent trim. Consider ceilings and connected hallways when they affect the overall presentation. A focused scope may make sense when time is limited. Keep a clear list of included and excluded surfaces so a smaller project is a deliberate choice, not an unexpected omission.
Treat repairs as part of the decision
New paint can make uneven repairs more noticeable. Show damaged corners, patches and stains during assessment. Resolve known moisture causes before finishing the surface. Ask how preparation affects timing and what can reasonably be included. A fresh colour is useful only when the underlying condition and finishing expectations are understood.
Coordinate the other work
Flooring, cleaning, fixtures and furniture deliveries can affect access or a newly painted surface. Discuss the order with the people involved before locking in dates. Allow the coating’s drying and curing guidance to shape return-to-use plans. A freshly coated door or wall may not be ready for ordinary wear immediately after application.
Make the estimate request specific
Include the city, full postal code, access date, target date and priority rooms. Select every service you want considered. We contact you to discuss the request and available estimate times, then assess the scope before a painting schedule is agreed. Submitting a form starts that conversation and does not guarantee a completion date.
